James strategically sought out development and operating assets in South America at a time when yields for equivalent assets in North America were thinning, and completed multiple successful merger and acquisition transactions in the Canadian capital markets.

James later joined Solar Power Network Inc., a commercial and industrial rooftop solar company based in Milan, Italy. Under James’s leadership as CFO, the firm was successful in winning off-take agreements with some of the largest corporate names in Italy, such as Henkel and Smurfit Kappa, valued at over $30 million.

More recently, James has been leveraging his knowledge of the renewable energy certificates platform in Europe, along with his relationships in emerging markets, to build a large trading book in the voluntary carbon offsets space, where he helps connect institutional capital with carbon credit projects around the world.
